She scored the game-winning overtime goal in the Hockey East Championship game and was named the tournament MVP for her efforts. The New England All-Star appeared in all 38 games for the Terriers, making her 100th career appearance on Feb. 15 against New Hampshire.
Kelly played in every game last season, setting career highs in multiple categories. She scored her first collegiate goal on Oct. 25 at Syracuse to help BU defeat the Orange, 4-1. Kelly blocked 29 shots in her junior campaign and was one of BU's top defenders throughout the season.
Yuhn collected 18 points off 11 goals and seven assists, with her points and goals being the second-most among returners for next season. She skated in her 100th career game on Feb. 15 against UNH and had two multi-point games in her junior season, including the Hockey East semifinal against Boston College. Coach Watchorn on Maeve Carey
"Maeve was a unanimous selection by both her teammates and our coaching staff, and that speaks volumes. She's earned this honor through her consistency, her maturity, and the way she shows up every single day. Her preparation is elite, but it's how she uses it to lift the people around her that makes her special. Maeve is the kind of teammate who adds to the environment in every way; holding high standards, staying grounded, and making those around her better. She's a reflection of the culture we're building."
Coach Watchorn on Sydney Healey
"Sydney has grown tremendously both on and off the ice, and her evolution as a leader has been incredible to watch. Her teammates deeply respect the work ethic and care she brings to the table every day. She's fully invested in our team's success, not just through her play, but in how she carries herself. Sydney has been instrumental in driving our team's involvement in the community and is a go-to voice in the locker room. Her attention to detail, her organization, and her steady presence makes her a key pillar of our leadership group."
Coach Watchorn on Clara Yuhn
"Clara's passion for BU and this program shines through in everything she does. She shows up every day excited to get better, not just for herself, but for the team. Her energy is infectious, and she's someone who genuinely loves being a part of this group. Clara leads by example on the ice, but what sets her apart is how she carries that leadership into the classroom, around campus, and in every interaction with her teammates. She's proud to wear the arched Boston, and it shows."
Coach Watchorn on Maeve Kelly
"Maeve brings a relentless work ethic and a drive to get better every single day. She's the kind of competitor who doesn't just meet the standard, she pushes past it and challenges others to come with her. Her consistency, both in how she prepares and how she competes, elevates our team environment in a real and tangible way. Maeve is driven to win, and that intensity fuels the group around her."
