HOW IT HAPPENED
- Just 3:02 into the match, BU earned a corner kick that Gianino swung out to Stickelman, whose eight-yard header ringed off the crossbar.
- Bryant registered two chances around the 22nd minute with Jennah Quill's header on the Bulldogs' third corner kick sailing high, then Nyema Prentice-Whyte was off target on her own attempt.
- Shobeiri notched her lone save of the match with under 11 minutes remaining in the first half, diving to her right to redirect Ava Feeley's shot. The Terriers cleared away the ensuing corner.
- BU closed the opening stanza with two quality chances. Senior Margy Porta nearly tucked a shot into the lower-right corner, but Negron swiped it away. A second corner kick in the sequence saw sophomore Abigail Ortolano lift a header over the woodwork.
- Out of the break, the Terriers maintained pressure with multiple chances from freshman Georgia Prouty (a 17-yard try) and junior Ava Maguire (a shot on the run), but Mejia made stops on both.
- Mejia dove to her left in the 64th minute to deny Gianino's flick.
- Gianino intercepted a Bulldog pass and gave off to senior Shayla Brown atop the box, but the latter lifted the chance high in the 73rd minute.
- Bryant didn't register their first shot in the second half until the 77th minute. Luke got behind the defense near the right post, but her shot trickled wide left.
- With less than five minutes remaining, Gianino had another shot get deflected. After the second of two Terrier corners, senior Helene Tyburczy whipped a shot wide right.
