BU-Michigan State Series Opener to be Nationally Televised on ESPNU

BOSTON - The opening night of a two-game weekend series between the Boston University men's ice hockey team and Michigan State at Agganis Arena on Friday, Oct. 17, will be nationally televised on ESPNU, as announced on Friday.
That game, originally scheduled for 7 p.m., will now begin at 6:30 p.m. to accommodate the move to ESPNU. The two teams will conclude the weekend set on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m. Both contests will be available for streaming on ESPN+.
This will be the first time since Oct. 24, 2014, that BU and Michigan State will have met, with the Terriers earning a 1-0 win over the Spartans at Agganis. BU is 2-0-0 all-time at Agganis against Michigan State, with the Terriers defeating the Spartans, 2-1, to claim the 2008 Ice Breaker title. The Terriers own a 9-8-0 edge over Michigan State in the all-time series.
