Forte Named to Inside Lacrosse Early Season Freshman Impact Rankings

BALTIMORE - Peyton Forte of the Boston University men's lacrosse team checked in at No. 14 in Inside Lacrosse's early-season list of impact freshmen, the publication announced on Thursday.
Forte has been fantastic for the Terriers, starting every game at attack in his first season. He has scored 15 goals and added five assists for 20 points in seven games in addition to recording four caused turnovers and 12 ground balls. Forte has found the back of the net in all seven games, highlighted by a five-goal outburst against Dartmouth on Feb. 14. Only seven freshmen in the country have scored more goals this season than Forte, who is also second among Patriot League rookies in goals scored.
BU boasted three members of Inside Lacrosse's final list of impact freshmen, headlined by top-ranked Timothy Shannehan. Andrew Pape and Madden Murphy were also recognized last season.
No. 15 BU will continue conference play on Saturday when the Terriers travel to Colgate. Opening faceoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
