
No. 20 Terriers Host No. 3 Harvard Tuesday in Charles River Rivalry Game

The Boston University men's lacrosse team will host another top-20 team on Tuesday when No. 3 Harvard visits Nickerson Field for the Charles River Rivalry game.
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ beginning at 7 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets by clicking here. Tuesday's game will feature a poster giveaway, beer garden (21+) and more.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU suffered its first Patriot League setback of the season on Saturday, dropping a 14-12 decision at Colgate.
- Sophomore Timothy Shannehan led the Terriers with six points (3g, 3a).
- His game-opening goal was the 100th point of his 24-game collegiate career.
- Shannehan enters Tuesday as the Terriers' leader in goals (25), assists (19) and points (44).
- Freshman Peyton Forte recorded a career-best six points at Colgate on four goals and two assists.
- He was No. 14 in Inside Lacrosse's Early Season Freshman Impact rankings that came out last week.
- Senior Jimmy Kohr scored four goals at Colgate, marking his 24th straight game with a goal.
- He has collected at least two points in all 24 of those games.
- Sophomore Connor Phillips made a career-high 17 saves against Colgate.
- The Terriers have already hosted two top-20 foes this season, as they defeated then-No. 20 Navy on Feb. 28 and then-No. 13/14 Army West Point on March 14.
CHARLES RIVER RIVALRY
- BU is 3-6 all-time against Harvard, including a 2-2 record against the Crimson at Nickerson Field.
- The Terriers dropped last year's contest in Cambridge, 16-7, which was the first time the BU-Harvard matchup was branded as the Charles River Rivalry game.
- BU won the last meeting at Nickerson, defeating Harvard, 15-11, on March 21, 2023.
- Both of the Terriers' losses at Nickerson have been by just one goal.
SCOUTING THE CRIMSON
- Harvard is now ranked No. 3 in both major national polls thanks to a 7-0 start.
- The Crimson most recently defeated Dartmouth, 17-14, on Friday in Cambridge.
- Harvard enters the night ranked fourth in the nation with an average of 15.0 goals per game.
- Senior Teddy Malone leads Harvard in goals (23) and points (31); he is eighth in the nation with 3.29 goals per game.
- Junior Jack Speidell is first on the squad with 10 assists and is second to Malone in both goals (17) and points (27).
- Senior Owen Guest paces the Crimson with seven caused turnovers.
- Junior Owen Umansky is 59-of-137 (.431) at the faceoff X and has gathered a team-high 30 ground balls.
- Sophomore Graham Stevens has started all seven games for the Crimson, posting a .579 save percentage and a 9.26 goals-against average.
- Stevens has averaged 15.67 saves over the last three games and ranks eighth in the country in save percentage.
- BU will enjoy a bye week before traveling to Baltimore to face Loyola Maryland on Saturday, April 4.
