Chris Dyment Named to the First Team All-Hockey East

BOSTON (March 21) -- Boston University sophomore Chris Dyment, a former Reading High School standout, was named to the First Team All-Hockey East after scoring 11 goals and 19 assists for 30 points to lead the Terrier defensemen. Dyment played in all 39 games for the Terriers and is sixth on the team in total points entering the NCAA Eastern Regionals this weekend in Albany, New York.
"Chris has had another great year and become a leader on this team," said head coach Jack Parker. "He played a major role in anchoring the power play all year long".
The Terriers will play St. Cloud State this Saturday, March 25th at 12:00 p.m. The winner will play St. Lawrence on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. The Terriers won the regular-season Hockey East championship and are currently ranked fourth in the nation.
Dyment was drafted by the Montreal Canadians in the 4th round (97th overall) of the 1999 NHL draft.
Dyment, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dyment of Parklman road in Reading. He is enrolled in the University's Metropolitan College.
