BURLINGTON, Vt. - After making a statement with a 9-1 victory in the series opener on Friday, the Boston University men's ice hockey team will look to complete a weekend sweep of Vermont on Saturday night at Gutterson Fieldhouse. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
Thirteen different players got on the scoresheet for the Terriers in Friday's rout, headlined by career-high four-point performances from senior linemates Pete MacArthur and Bryan Ewing.
Last year, the Terriers were tied with Vermont for second in the country in scoring defense at 2.0 goals per game, and were 44th in scoring offense (2.54). Through 10 games this season, BU is now fifth in scoring offense (3.7) and tied for 48th in scoring defense (3.5)
All 20 skaters who have appeared in at least one of the Terriers' three wins this season have earned at least one point in one of those games. Fourteen different players have scored a goal in the three victories.
Last night was the first time all season that the Terriers won a game in which they scored first. They were 0-3-1 previously. BU is an even 2-2-1 in games when it allows the first goal.
