CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the second time this season, junior Eric Ashe of the Boston University men’s cross country team received conference Performer of the Week honors, the conference office announced Tuesday. Ashe has received the America East Performer of the Week honor following his past two races.
The Hanson, Mass., native finished fourth in a field of 320 runners to lead the men’s team to a 15th-place finish out of 49 teams at the New England Championships, held Saturday at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. Ashe completed the 8K course in 24:42, bettering his previous time on the same course three weeks earlier by 25 seconds.
With the result at this past weekend’s event, Ashe has amassed two wins, two runner-up finishes and has not finished lower than 13th in his last six races.
The Terriers are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 24, as they travel to New London, Conn., for the Central Connecticut State Mini Meet.
