Senior goaltender Melissa Haber has been named this week's GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week after earning Most Valuable Player honors as she helped the Boston University women's ice hockey team win its first-ever Hockey East Championship.
Haber made 42 saves while allowing only one goal in two games this weekend. She shut out fifth-ranked New Hampshire in the semifinals on Saturday and earned the win in overtime against seventh-ranked Connecticut in Sunday's championship game.
Haber has allowed only two goals in her last 15 periods of play. This season, she has posted a 1.98 goals-against average and .924 save percentage to go with a 15-7-8 record.
