BOSTON - The Boston University softball team (23-17, 7-2 AE) will welcome northeast rival Rhode Island (15-24, 5-5 A10) to BU Softball Field on Thursday afternoon for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. The Terriers will be looking to rebound from back-to-back losses at Boston College, while the Rams are fresh off a thrilling walk-off victory over Harvard.

BU recently dropped a pair of games to crosstown foe Boston College on Tuesday afternoon. BU fell 5-0 in the first game and 2-1 in eight innings in the second contest. Senior Rachel Hebert was the lone Terrier to score a run.

Offensively, junior April Setterlund continues to impress as her batting average (.568) is second in the country as of Tuesday, April 20. Additionally, she is second in slugging percentage (1.09) and on-base percentage (0.64), third in RBIs (1.29) and runs per game (1.24) and 14th in doubles per game (0.37).

Setterlund is one of four Terriers swinging at a clip above .300 as she is joined by senior Rachel Moeller (.331), sophomore Erica Casacci (.301) and sophomore Emily Roesch (.300) in the group. The quartet ranks in the top 20 in the America East in batting average. Setterlund leads the league in every major offensive category and is fourth in stolen bases.

On the mound, senior Cassidi Hardy has been the team's ace and recently threw her fourth career no-hitter, earning this week's America East Co-Pitcher of the Week honors. The Jupiter, Fla. native is now one of only two pitchers in the history of the program to throw four no-hitters, joining Audrey West ('96) in the elite group. Additionally, Hardy is just one of two BU hurlers to throw over 700 strikeouts, as she is currently at 725 Ks on her career - second only to West.

Following Thursday's twinbill, BU will welcome Binghamton in a three-game series this weekend at BU Softball Field, beginning on Saturday at 1 p.m.
