BOSTON - Making her first appearance in the NCAA Regionals, freshman Whitney Tuthill performed under the pressure as the rookie batted an impressive .556 with three RBIs and one home run and pitched 12 effective innings for the Terriers to earn this week's GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Tuthill made three appearances in the pitcher's circle in relief, winning one game and earning a 1.17 ERA. She allowed five runs - two earned - and struck out three batters. She saw action against two ranked teams - No. 10 Arizona State and No. 21 UMass - and claimed the program's first victory over the Minutewomen since 1996.

In the batter's box, Tuthill was equally impressive, swinging at a .556 clip with five hits, one double, one home run and three RBIs. She scored BU's lone run against the tenth-ranked Sun Devils with her ninth long ball of the season and then drove in runs in each of the team's final two games.
