BOSTON - The Boston University men's basketball team will add a trio of true freshmen for the 2012-13 season, as Nathaniel Dieudonne, John Papale and Maurice Watson all signed early National Letters of Intent with the Terriers.

"We are truly excited about the addition of these three fine young men," said first-year head coach Joe Jones. "They have dedicated themselves to being the best student athletes they can be. Boston University has been able to attract the best and the brightest and these young men are no exception. The future of BU basketball looks extremely bright."

An honors student at Trinity H.S., Dieudonne is a 6-foot-6 forward from Louisville, Kentucky. Ranked as one of the top 10 prospects in the state by several services, he received over 20 scholarship offers from across the country. As a junior, he averaged 11.6 points per game along with 5.8 rebounds while posting a team-high 18 blocks.

Recruited heavily by several Atlantic 10 schools, Papale (Wallingford, Conn.) was recently named one of the nation's top 25 three-point shooters by ESPN.com. Standing 6-foot-3, he shot 51 percent behind the arc as a sophomore and set a NEPSAC record at Choate H.S. by hitting nine treys in a half as a junior. He averaged 19.5 ppg and was named the MVP at the NEPSAC tournament this past season.

Rounding out the group is Maurice Watson, a 5-foot-10 point guard who also received several scholarship offers. He already has 1,659 career points after averaging 25 points per game last season for Boys Latin H.S. in Philadelphia, Pa. A three-year honor roll student, he is currently ranked as the 31st-best point guard by ESPN and is a three-time All-Public League First Team honoree and a 2011 All-City Second Team member.
