BOSTON - Currently preparing for Saturday's America East Championship game between the Boston University men's basketball team and Stony Brook, senior John Holland has received All-District honors from both the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA), the two organizations announced on their respective websites.

The NABC's District I is comprised of teams from the America East and MAAC. Named the AE Player of the Year back on March 4, Holland was tabbed one of the top five players from the two conferences for the third straight year, joining players from Siena, Iona, Fairfield and Rider.

The USBWA's districts are regionally based, and for the second consecutive season, Holland was one of 10 players from the New England area placed on the All-District I team.

Last weekend during the AE quarterfinals and semifinals, he led the Terriers in scoring in both of the games to move into seventh-place all-time in the league for points with 2,166 total. A three-time First Team All-Conference honoree, Holland is set to become the fourth in the AE's history to repeat as scoring champion.

He ranks sixth all-time at BU in rebounds at 712 and is second in steals with 197, just four away from setting the school record. During the team's current 10-game win streak, he is averaging 19.9 ppg and 6.7 rpg while shooting 45.5 percent from the field.
