BU Completes Charles River Challenge with Varsity Four Victory

BOSTON - Highlighted by a victory in the varsity four 'a' race, the Boston University women's rowing team completed the two-day Charles River Challenge Sunday morning. All the boats faced a cross headwind with a light rain that was on and off throughout.

Coxed by sophomore Mia Serabian and stroked by sophomore Gabby Cutler, the V4a boat won in easy fashion, posting a time of 9:03 and finishing ahead of Minnesota (9:28), Louisville (9:34) and Syracuse (10:07).

The V4b boat coxed by freshman Lauren Goodwin and stroked by freshman Amelia Ralston also defeated Syracuse and Louisville, though finished second overall behind Ohio State.

BU's varsity eight boats took fourth, while the 3V8 boat lost in a race to Louisville.

The Terriers will next travel to Brown to face the Bears and Rhode Island on Friday, April 22.
