NEW YORK - The Boston University men's cross country team competed at the NCAA Northeast Regional on Friday at Van Cortlandt Park.

The Terriers finished 17th with 455 points. Senior Rich Peters was among the leaders early in the race and eventually placed 41st with a time of 31:16.5. Sophomore Kevin Thomas was the other BU harrier to secure a top-50 finish, as he crossed the finish line in 49th place (31:23.7).

Sophomore Aaron Somoroff (32:28.8) finished one spot ahead of junior Ben Ravetz (32:30.0). Sophomore Alec Olson finished with a time of 32:42.4 while senior Michael Caputo had a time of 32:44.8. Olson's classmate, Paul Gennaro, posted a time of 32:28.3.

All seven Terriers finished in the top 175 of the 255-competitor field. The race marked the conclusion of the 2013 season.
