STORRS, Conn. - Highlighted by junior Chelsea Kehr's sixth-inning two-run homer and sophomore Emily Felbaum's RBI double, the Boston University claimed a 5-4 victory at the University of Connecticut on Thursday afternoon. Avenging an earlier 11-8 loss to UConn and extending their current win streak to four games, the Terriers improve to 21-23-1, while the Huskies drop to 25-25.

Freshman Lauren Hynes (5-6) earned a complete game win after limiting the Huskies to four earned runs off seven hits and four walks while tallying two strikeouts, including one on the final pitch of the game. She helped her own cause in the fifth by driving home freshman Haley King with an infield grounder to tie the game at 2-2.

Felbaum collected two of the Terriers' six hits against Lauren Duggan (6-6) with her double plating King after Kehr's first home run of the season. Starting the first inning with an RBI double to score junior Megan Volpano, senior Emily Roesch reached home on the blast that went over the left field wall.

BU held a 1-0 lead following Roesch's hit down the left field line until the Huskies scored two off three hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. UConn loaded the bases with a walk and two infield singles before scoring its first run on a sacrifice fly. With one out, the Huskies scored another on a single, but Hynes prevented further damage by inducing a double play on the next at-bat with runners at first and second.

In the fifth, King earned a walk and advanced to second when UConn mishandled a hit by Felbaum. Junior Jayme Mask laid down a successful sacrifice bunt to advance the runners, and Hynes hit a long grounder to short to bring home King and tie the game at 2-2.

BU's offense carried the momentum into the sixth after Hynes retired the side. Roesch reached on a fielding error and quickly scored on Kehr's homer. With two outs, King earned her second walk of the game and scored on Felbaum's sixth double of the season.

The Huskies tried to rally back with two runs off two hits and three walks. They had the bases loaded with two outs, but Hynes maintained the lead by getting a grounder to Volpano at third to end the inning. She would get three quick outs in the seventh with two routine grounders and a strikeout.

After winning their final non-conference game of the season, the Terriers will conclude their final year in the America East with a weekend series trip to Stony Brook. A doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday (May 4).
