BOSTON - Playing its fourth home game in five contests, the Boston University men's basketball team will host Quinnipiac on Saturday afternoon in Case Gym with tip-off set for 1 p.m.

The Terriers (2-6) and Bobcats (3-4) are both currently on two-game losing streaks, as they meet for the fifth straight season. Coincidentally, BU has won the last two matchups, scoring 69 points apiece. Both squads are in their second years of a new league.

BU joined the Patriot League in the summer of 2013, while Quinnipiac moved from the NEC to the MAAC.

TEN TERRIER TIDBITS

• BU returns just six points from last year's 69-62 victory at Quinnipiac ... Junior Nathan Dieudonne had three points with classmate John Papale and sophomore Cedric Hankerson combining for the other three ... Papale though did have a team-high 16 points as a freshman in the 69-62 overtime victory in 2012 at The Roof.

• Hankerson currently ranks in the top 16 in nine different Patriot League categories, including, second in scoring (17.8 ppg), third in 3-pointers made (2.8), t-sixth in steals (1.6), 10th in assists (3.0 apg) and 16th in rebounding (4.4 rpg).

• Over the last five games, BU has shot just 62.4 percent from the free throw line with opponents shooting 74.1 percent, highlighted by Harvard's 23-of-25 performance last Monday.

• On Monday, the Terriers fell for the first time this year when owning a higher field goal shooting percentage (40.0 - 39.2) ... Last season, they went 16-1 in such situations.

• Sophomore Blaise Mbargorba had his best performance yet as a Terrier at Harvard ... He went 6-of-8 from the field for a team-high 13 points and added two blocks in 19 minutes of action.

• In both victories this season, BU finished with at least 70 points ... In the last three losses, the Terriers have been held below 60 after scoring between 65-68 in the first three defeats.

• Harvard and Kentucky are the only two opponents to not have an individual finish with at least 20 points against the Terriers this season. • Freshman guard Will Goff has started the last two games for BU and is averaging 5.0 ppg over the last three contests.

• Sophomore Eric Fanning had a career-high 17 points and seven rebounds in the team's last home game against St. Peter's ... He currently ranks 27th in scoring in the league at 9.1 ppg.

SCOUTING QUINNIPIAC

• The Bobcats have dropped last two games, an 88-67 defeat at Siena and 56-52 overtime loss to Fairfield.

• Quinnipiac is 2-1 in overtime games this season, claiming an 88-85 double-overtime victory over BU head coach Joe Jones' older brother, James, and Yale to open the season.

Other wins came against Albany (76-73 OT) and Vermont (89-73). • 6-foot-4 guard Zaid Hearst leads Quinnipiac at 18.9 ppg, while 6-foot-9 senior Ousmane Drame is averaging a double-double (15.0 ppg and 10.9 rpg).

• The Terriers have drained a 3-pointer to end regulation each of the last two meetings ... Papale sent the game to OT with five seconds left in 2012 before BU eventually claimed a 69-62 win ... In 2013, D.J. Irving broke a 66-66 deadlock with 2.4 seconds remaining for the victory.

• Last year, BU won despite being out-rebounded 47-27 ... Marked first time in over a decade that the Terriers pulled out a victory despite facing a negative 20+ rebound margin.
