JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Rosa Moriello of the Boston University women's track & field team advanced to the NCAA Championships in the 5,000m run on Saturday night at the University of North Florida.

Competing in the 2014 NCAA Division I Women's Track and Field Preliminary Championships, Moriello finished third in her heat and sixth overall with a personal-best time of 16:03.57. She earned an automatic spot in the 2014 NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, on June 11-14. This is the first time that Moriello has advanced out of the East prelims.

Moriello joins teammate Allison Barwise (high jump) and Rich Peters (1,500m run) of the men's squad as Terriers that qualified for the NCAA Championships this weekend.
