Terriers in the NHL - Dec. 2
December 2, 2015 | Men's Ice Hockey
It's been a successful few days in the National Hockey League for former Boston University men's ice hockey blue-liners.
Defenseman David Warsofsky, who wore the scarlet and white for the men's ice hockey team from 2008-2011, made his Penguins debut on Tuesday night.
With Warsofsky joining former BU skaters Nick Bonino and Adam Clendening, it marks the first time since November 2010 that an NHL club had at least three former Terriers on their roster (Colorado had four).
Meanwhile, Kevin Shattenkirk stretched his point-streak to eight games, tying the second-longest of his career, before seeing it come to an end in a game against Florida on Dec. 1.
John Hynes has coached the Devils to a 12-10-2 record, fifth in the Metropolitan Division, and prior to the Thanksgiving Day break, two former Terriers returned to Boston ice, as Matt Nieto (SJS) and Charlie Coyle (MIN) took on the Bruins at the TD Garden, coming away with a win and a loss, respectively.
