BOSTON - Resuming Patriot League action in the state of Pennsylvania, the Boston University softball team will visit Lehigh on Friday at 3:30 p.m. and then make a short drive over to Lafayette for a three-game series over the weekend.
Coming off a dominating 6-2 win over Harvard, the Terriers (9-23, 1-7 PL) and Mountain Hawks (27-6, 10-1 PL) are meeting for one game due to the originally three-game scheduled series being postponed back in March by the weather. BU made a trip to Lehigh on April 1 for a doubleheader and fell by combined score of 20-2.
Following the matchup with Lehigh, the Terriers will meet Lafayette (3-28, 1-11 PL) at 12 p.m. on Saturday for a doubleheader and then face off in the rubber game on Sunday at 12 p.m. They swept last year's series at home by a combined score of 15-3.
As BU reaches the midway point of the conference schedule, it finds itself with little room for error, as only the top four teams advance to the conference tournament. Bucknell is currently in the No. 4 slot at 4-5 with Holy Cross (3-6) one game behind in the standings.
