CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston University softball game at Boston College was called in the top of the third on Wednesday afternoon. A mixture of rain and hail left the umpiring crew no choice but to cancel it. Whether or not this game will be made up has yet to be decided.

Highlighted by junior Lauren Hynes' RBI walk and senior Mandy Fernandez's two-out, two-RBI single up the middle, the Terriers led 3-2 in the top of the third with the bases loaded and zero outs when play was halted.

Both pitching staffs combined for 10 walks and hit-by-pitches in two innings, as gripping the ball became increasingly difficult toward the end of the contest.

The Terriers will next host Army on Saturday (April 11) with the doubleheader set for 12 p.m.
