AUSTIN, Texas - The Boston University women's track & field team sent a talented group to the Texas Relays this past weekend.
Junior Toria Levy did not run in Friday’s final of the 400m hurdles but did qualify after she finished fourth in Thursday’s prelims with a personal-best time of 57.77 seconds. Levy did run the 100m hurdles on Friday, finishing 19th in a field of 65 with a time of 14.09 seconds. Classmate Ally Saccone posted a time of 14.52 seconds in that event.
Freshman Lovie Burleson collected two top-10 finishes on Friday, highlighted by a fourth-place performance in the long jump (5.69m, 18’ 8”). She also secured sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 12.13 meters (39’ 9.75”). Classmate Kennedy Jones also competed in the triple jump (11.54m 37’ 10.5”)
Also on Friday, the 4x100m relay team of Saccone, freshman Ebony Brown, sophomore Maya Marshall and senior Christy Wood had a time of 47.81 seconds. Wood also ran the 4x400m relay on a team with junior Djenne Parris, senior Jade Paul and sophomore Tehya Noell, finishing with a time of 3:53.32. Noell also ran the 400m hurdles on Thursday and posted a time of 1:07.40.
BU will return to action on April 8-9 at the Tiger Track Classic hosted by Auburn.
