Virginia Results | MIT Results
The Boston University men's and women's track & field teams were both in action this weekend, competing at two meets, the UVA Invitational in Charlottesville, Virg. and the MIT Sean Collier Invite in Cambridge, Mass.
Competing at UVA on the men's side, junior Cameron Williams was fourth in the 200m dash thanks to a time of 20.89 seconds. It was his third top-10 effort of the weekend, as he also secured seventh in the 100m dash (10.57) and was part of the fourth-place 4x100m relay team on Friday.
Six Terriers in total combined for four top-10 performances on Friday. In the 1,500m run, junior Ethan Homan finished fifth with a time of 1:48.52. Williams secured seventh in the 100m dash with a time of 10.57 seconds while senior David Lagerberg was eighth in the 400m dash with a time of 47.33 seconds.
The 4x100m relay team of Williams, sophomore Jordan Love, junior Alastair Prenn and sophomore Cameron Nurse was fourth with a time of 40.47. Love also ran the 100m dash on Saturday (10.78) and was in the 200m dash (21.74) on Saturday, while sophomore Liam O'Connell (1:56.82) also participated in the 1,500m run on Friday.
At MIT, junior David Oluwadara had an outstanding performance, winning both the triple and long jump events. Oluwadara won the triple jump with a jump of 15.74 meters and took first in the long jump with a personal-best jump of 7.34 meters.
Junior Tyler Malone finished third in both the triple jump (14.14 meters) and the long jump (6.80 meters).
Senior Ethan Knight won the discuss with a 46.34 meter toss while classmate Reuben Horace finished second in the hammer toss with a 53.15 meter throw.
Also in the field, senior Nikolaos Farmakidis won the pole vault with a 4.67 meter effort.
On the track, junior Bruce Greene finished fourth in the 100 meters with a time of 11.19 and sixth in the 200 meters (22.53).
On the women's side at UVA, senior Christy Wood finished 12th in the 200m dash on Saturday with a time of 24.66 seconds. On Friday, she finished 13th in the 100m dash with a time of 11.92 seconds and also had a top-25 time in the 400m dash (56.40).
At MIT, the women's team had several top-three performances. Freshman Ebony Brown took second in the 100m dash with a time of 12.30 followed closely by junior Ally Saccone, who finished second with a time of 12.43. Sophomore Maya Marshall finished fourth in the event (12.54).
Brown earlier finished second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.04 with Marshall taking third (25.12) and freshman Jordan Coverson finished fourth (25.26).
Saccone later won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.43 while sophomore Tehya Noell finished second (14.88) and freshman Kennedy Jones took third (15.50).
Junior Toria Levy finished first in the 400 meters with a time of 55.22 while junior Djenne Parris finished second (57.43). Other top performers included senior Jade Paul, who won the 800 meter run with a time of 2:15.64 and freshman Casey Kelly who won the 400 meter hurdles (1:08.18).
In the field, freshman Lovie Burleson won the long jump with a 5.86 meter jump and also won the triple jump with a 12.20 meter leap. Freshman Kennedy Jones finished second in the triple jump (11.61 meters) and fourth in the long jump (5.44m).
The men's and women's teams will next compete at the Penn Relays on April 28-30 in Philadelphia.
