PHILADELPHIA – The Boston University women’s track & field team competed at the Penn Relays this weekend at Franklin Field.

Freshman Lovie Burleson finished seventh in the long jump with a mark of 5.62 meters on Thursday. On Friday, classmate Kennedy Jones was 16th in the triple jump with a mark of 11.72 meters.

The 4x400m relay team of junior Toria Levy, senior Christy Wood, junior Djenne Parris and senior Jade Paul concluded the weekend with a second-place performance in the College Final on Saturday. The foursome finished with a time of 3:39.78.

In addition, Levy and Wood joined Ebony Brown and Ally Saccone in the 4x200m relay, coming four hundredths of a second from matching the school record. The foursome finished with a time of 1:37.99 in Saturday’s ECAC Final. The record was 1:37.95, set in 2011.

BU will be back in action next weekend at the Patriot League Championships, hosted by Bucknell on May 6 and 7. The Terriers will look to sweep the track & field titles, having already won the 2016 indoor crown.
