EASTON, Mass. – Highlighted by 10 top-10 finishes, the Boston University women’s track & field team competed in the Skyhawk Invitational hosted by Stonehill on Saturday.
Junior Christie Molloy led the Terriers with a pair of top-five finishes. She secured second in the javelin with a throw of 38.35 meters (125’ 10”) and also finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 5.01 meters (16’ 5.25”).
Freshman Sarah Cicchetti also had two top-10 finishes, highlighted by a third-place mark in the shot put (11.88m 38’ 11.75”). She also took sixth in the hammer throw (38.73m 12’ 1”). Junior Adrienne Pascucci joined Cicchetti with two top-10 performances, posting a sixth-place finish in the javelin (30.01m 98’ 5”) and securing seventh in the high jump (1.50m 4’ 11”).
Junior Catherine Yu was seventh in the discus with a mark of 30.48 meters (100’) and also competed in the javelin (20.53m 67’ 4”).
Senior Talia Flores finished eighth in the 100m dash (13.14) and ninth in the 200m dash (26.42) while junior Kerri Graber (1:00.10) and freshman Casey Kelly (1:04.03) each ran the 400m dash, with Graber placing 10th.
Junior Tina Romak (2:24.53) and senior Erin Pierce (2:29.38) each competed in the 800m run while freshmen Dominique Betterbed (4:57.56) and Elin Wolker (5:04.54) both took part in the 1,500m run.
BU will be back in action next weekend at the Patriot League Championships, hosted by Bucknell on May 6 and 7.
