Results
Auburn, Ala. - The Boston University men's and women's track & field teams were both in action this weekend, competing at Auburn University's Tiger Track Classic on Friday and Saturday.
On the women’s side, the Terriers were led by senior Christy Wood, who turned in four top ten performances. Wood finished 10th in the 200m dash with a time of 24.25 and 8th in the 400m dash with a time of 54.65.
Earlier in the meet, Wood, along with Maya Marshall, Ebony Brown and Ally Saccone, finished 8th in the 4x100m relay with a time of 46.95.
In the Terriers’ final event of the meet, the 4x400 relay team made up of Wood, Toria Levy, Jade Paul, and Jordan Coverson, finished fourth with a time of 3:42.16.
In the field, freshman Lovie Burleson took seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 12.19 meters (40’). Classmate Kennedy Jones also competed triple jump and finished 17th (11.47m, 37’ 7.75”). Burleson also finished 7th in the long jump with a leap of 5.80m (19’ 00.5”)
Also in the field, juniors Christie Molloy (33.09m 108’ 7”) and Adrienne Pascucci (23.65m, 77’ 7”) each competed in the javelin.
On the men’s side the Terriers were once again led by standout junior Cameron Williams who competed in the 100m and 200m dash as well as the 4x100 relay. Williams finished third (second among collegians) in the 200m with a time of 21.08 and finished 6th in 100m with a time of 10.61.
Earlier in the meet, Williams helped the men’s 4x100 meter relay team, made up of Williams, Jordan Love, Alastair Prenn and David Lagerberg, finish first with a time of 40.92 in a field of 18 teams.
Also competing in the 100m dash, sophomore Jordan Love finished 11th with an excellent time of 10.74.
Senior David Lagerberg had a strong meet, finishing 3rd in the 400 meter dash with a time of 46.98. Lagerberg also competed in the 200m dash, finishing 11th with a time of 21.48.
Sophomore Peter Katsarakes competed in the 400m hurdles, finishing 8th with at time of 54.14, a new personal best.
In the field, junior standout David Oluwadara took third in the triple jump with a leap of 15.26 meters (50’ 0.75”) in a field of 30. Oluwadara also competed in the long jump, finishing 9th (6.96m, 22’10”). Senior Tyler Malone also competed in the triple jump, posting a mark of 13.85 meters (45’ 5.25”) to finish 23rd.
Freshman Pablo Colon led a trio of Terriers in the javelin with a sixth-place mark of 58.20 meters (190’ 11”). Senior Devon Lattrell (51.74m, 169’ 9”) and junior Alastair Prenn (47.28m, 155’ 1”) also took part in the javelin. Also in the field, senior Reuben Horace had a toss of 54.55 meters (179’) in the hammer throw, good for twelfth overall.
Both the men’s and women’s teams will next compete at the Brown Invitational on April 16 in Providence, R.I.
