BOSTON – Coming off a thrilling 90-89 overtime win over Army, the Boston University men's basketball team will begin the second go-round in Patriot League play at Lehigh on Monday with the CBS Sports Network broadcast set for 7 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • The Terriers are currently tied for third in the Patriot League standings with Lehigh at 6-3 with Thursday's opponent Navy in second at 7-3 ... BU finished the first round of Patriot League play above .500 for the first time since going 8-1 in 2014 en route to the conference regular season title.
  • Wednesday's win against the Black Knights made head coach Joe Jones the third ever in 108 seasons to lead the Terriers to 100 wins.
  • Senior and leading scorer Eric Fanning (14.6 ppg) hit a personal-best 11 field goals against Army and went 8-of-9 at the line to tally 32 points ... He is the second Terrier to reach 30+ points this season after junior Cedric Hankerson (11.2 ppg) posted 34 at Syracuse back in December ... BU last had two men hit the mark in one season in 2010-11 when both America East Players of the Year John Holland ('11) and Darryl Partin ('12) accomplished the feat.
  • Senior Justin Alston is shooting a stellar 60.2 percent in conference play and is averaging 13.4 pts. over the last nine games ... Both he and Fanning are averaging a combined 15.2 rpg in PL action.
  • Starting each of the last 12 games, freshman Tyler Scanlon tallied a season-high 17 points last Wednesday and is now averaging 7.5 ppg and is shooting 39.8 percent from behind the arc.  
  • Sophomore Kyle Foreman ranks fourth in the PL in assists at 4.9 apg ... On Wednesday, junior Eric Johnson came off the bench to dish out a season-high five helpers.
  • The Terriers are holding opponents to 42.3 percent, tops in the conference.

LEHIGH NOTES

  • Lehigh enters the contest with an RPI ranking of No. 115 having also ranked in the top 100 in 11 different statistical categories.
  • The Mountain Hawks feature one of the top offenses, ranking 17th nationally in FG% (49.2 FG%) and 76th in scoring offense (78.1 ppg).
  • Lehigh is 7-1 at home with a top-100 RPI win against Princeton (#93) ... The Mountain Hawks are 3-1 in the PL with a one-point loss to Loyola Maryland.
  • Two-time PL Player of the Year Tim Kempton is on pace for a third major award averaging 21.4 ppg and 10.4 rpg.
  • Austin Price (13.2 ppg), Kahron Ross (11.8 ppg) and Kyle Leufroy (10.3 ppg) are the other three Mountain Hawks averaging double figures with Ross owning a league-high 6.2 assists per game.
  • Defensively, Lehigh ranks 50th in defensive rpg (27.35) and is holding opponents to 44.0 FG%.
  • The Mountain Hawks also rank 24th in FT% (.763) and are only committing 17.1 fouls per game, 58th fewest in the country.

SERIES HISTORY

  • Riding a two-game win streak at home, the Terriers lead the all-time series, 5-3 ... After BU won the first-ever meeting back in 1968, the teams have split in each of the last three years.
  • BU is 1-2 at Lehigh with a 67-66 win in 2014 after then-senior D.J. Irving hit two free throws with 1.9 seconds remaining ... Two years ago, BU trailed by 22 at the half but scored 63 points in the 2nd half, five shy of school record, and missed game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer for 89-86 loss.
  • In last trip to Stabler, Lehigh jumped out to 13-point lead in the middle of the first half ... BU rallied to tie the game five times in the second but could never get over the hump in an 81-73 loss.
  • In the teams' last meeting on CBSSN at BU, John Papale ('16) hit last-second shot to land at No. 1 in the SportsCenter Top 10 list ... BU led by as many as 12 before escaping with the victory.
  • At the start of the month, Lehigh opened with a 3FG but never led again ... Terriers pushed lead to 62-39 and were ahead, 66-49, with 5:33 left ... Lehigh cut deficit to 68-59 at 3:47 but never got closer ... BU claimed a 75-61 win by holding the Mountain Hawks to 34.9 FG% while winning the rebound battle, 41-39.
