BOSTON – Concluding a two-game road trip, the Boston University men's basketball team will travel north to former America East rival Maine for a Wednesday afternoon matchup with tip-off set for 2 p.m. The contest will mark the Terriers first visit to The Pine Tree State since they joined the Patriot League in the summer of 2013.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • With his sixth career double-double (16 pts., 10 rebs.) at UConn, senior Nick Havener currently leads BU in both scoring (14.3 ppg) and rebounding (5.7 rpg) ... Current Cleveland Cavalier John Holland ('11) was the last Terrier to finish a season leading the Terriers in both categories in 2008-09.
  • On Sunday, senior Cedric Hankerson became the 36th Terrier to reach 1,000 career points with a season-high 20 points at UConn ... With five 3-pointers in the game, he now ranks sixth all-time at BU with 195 career treys.
  • Freshman Javante McCoy is third on the team in scoring at 8.3 ppg with classmate Walter Whyte close behind at 8.0 ppg and is also the team leader in assists at 3.3 apg.
  • Seven of the 13 players on the roster have already reached double figures with sophomore Tyler Scanlon the last to hit the mark against UConn with 12 points. 
  • Though the Terriers have committed 11 fewer turnovers (29-40), they've been outscored in points off turnovers, 36-24.
  • Through three games, BU is shooting 41.0 FG% and holding opponents to 48.0 FG% ... Opponents are averaging 9.7 more free throws and 13.0 rebounds per game than the Terriers. 
SCOUTING MAINE
  • The Black Bears will be playing their first home game of the season at the Cross Insurance Center after falling at Boston College (85-65) and Texas Tech (83-44) and dropping a pair of neutral games in Springfield, Massachusetts to South Alabama (68-46) and Sacred Heart (69-68 OT).
  • Maine is averaging 55.8 ppg while shooting 32.8 percent from the field and is holding opponents to 76.2 ppg and 45.2 FG%.
  • 5-foot-11 guard Aaron Calixte is averaging a team-high 12.0 ppg with 6-foot-6 guard Ilker Er also reaching double figures at 10.3 ppg with 6.3 rpg ... 6-foot-7 forward Ilija Stojiljkovic leads Maine in rebounding at 7.0 rpg while also averaging 8.5 ppg.
  • The Black Bears own a negative 10.7 rpg margin and are commiting two more turnovers than opponents per game.
  • Owning a 3-0 mark in home openers with wins over UMPI, Longwood and Wagner, fourth-year head coach Bob Walsh accepted the job at Maine after posting a 204-63 record at Rhode Island College ... He replaced current BU assistant coach Jack Perri at Rhode Island College in 2005.
SERIES HISTORY
  • BU leads the all-time series, 60-41, dating back to 1902-03, with Joe Jones owning a 4-1 record ... The two squads were members in the Yankee Conference during the 1970's and later helped form the America East (then ECAC North) in 1979.
  • Last season at Case Gym, BU held a 43-30 halftime lead and coasted in the second to a 102-78 victory ... The contest marked the first time the Terriers reached 100 points in 22 years.
