BOSTON – Coming off a 78-69 road win at Maine, the Boston University men's basketball team will host Wheaton College on Sunday afternoon with tip-off slated for 4 p.m. It is the second half of a weekend doubleheader, as the women will first battle Boston College at 1 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • Through four games, the Terriers have already had nine different men reach double figures in scoring. 
  • Senior Nick Havener was two points shy of his second consecutive double-double against the Black Bears after totaling a game-high 10 rebounds and currently leads BU in both scoring (12.8 ppg) and rebounding (6.8 rpg) ... John Holland ('11) was the last Terrier to end a season leading BU in both categories back in 2008-09. 
  • Both senior Will Goff (5.3 ppg) and sophomore Tyler Scanlon (7.8 ppg) led BU in scoring for the second time in their careers after tallying 13 points apiece at Maine ... Goff drained a career-tying four 3-pointers in the first half to help the Terriers overcome an early 9-2 deficit and Scanlon finished with a career-high four assists.
  • Senior Eric Johnson also had a career day with a personal-best seven free throws on nine attempts and career-tying five rebounds. 
  • Senior Cedric Hankerson ranks second on the team at 11.8 ppg with freshmen Walter Whyte (9.0 ppg) and Javante McCoy (8.8 ppg) close behind ... Sophomore Max Mahoney (5.7 ppg) is second in rebounding at 4.0 rpg.
  • The Terriers are averaging 69.2 ppg while shooting 42.4 percent and are holding opponents to 76.8 ppg and 45.5 FG%. 
  • On Wednesday, the Terriers snapped an eight-game road losing streak to non-conference opponents ... They are now looking to snap a three-game home losing streak dating back to last year's Patriot League double-overtime semifinal loss to Lehigh. 
SCOUTING WHEATON
  • Wheaton has been a member of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) since 1985.
  • The Lyons are currently 3-1 following last year's 10-16 season with wins over Regis (80-60), Rhode Island College (73-65) and Mount Ida (83-66) ... The lone loss came against Roger Williams (72-70). 
  • Wheaton is averaging 76.5 ppg while shooting 43.7 percent from the field and features three men at 16+ ppg ... 6-foot-3 forward Liam Bruno is averaging 16.8 ppg while shooting 55.8 percent with 6-foot-2 forward Duaka Ekwensi (16.5 ppg) and 6-foot-1 guard Ryan Fogarty (16.0 ppg) close behind.
  • Opponents are averaging 65.8 ppg and 42.2 FG% through four contests. 
SERIES HISTORY
  • The teams are meeting for the first time ever.
  • BU will be facing its first NEWMAC opponent since the conference was established in 1985.
  • BU has previously beaten current members MIT (1970), WPI (1971), Clark (1957), Springfield (1969) and the Coast Guard Academy (1942).
