Bloznalis Named First Team Scholar All-East Region

2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Scholar All-East Region Teams
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Boston University women's soccer standout Rachel Bloznalis was named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Scholar All-East Region Team, as announced by the organization this week.
To be considered for the Scholar All-Region team, nominees had to have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 throughout their career, and start more than 50 percent of all games with supporting statistical achievements and playing honors.
Bloznalis posted a 3.52 GPA as a public health major and is currently pursuing her masters degree in public health with a concentration in health policy and law.
The two-time Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year played a critical role in guiding the backline to 10 shutouts, including seven against Patriot League opponents. Additionally, opponents were held to just 0.86 goals and 9.0 shots per game.
The Upton, Massachustets native earns her second United Soccer Coaches award of the year as she was previously named to the organization's All-East Region First Team in November.
