DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Continuing a four-game road trip with their second game of the week in the Sunshine State, the Terriers will play at Bethune-Cookman on Friday night with tip-off set for 7 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • Head coach Joe Jones has used the same starting lineup for the first seven games, tying the longest season-opening streak during his tenure at BU set in 2013.
  • BU is 2-2 on the road this season with both losses coming against major conference opponents, UConn and No. 10 Miami ... Owning wins at New Hampshire and Maine, the Terriers were tied with the Hurricanes at the half, 30-30, this past Tuesday. 
  • After No. 10 Miami allowed a season-high nine steals, BU currently ranks t-99th at 7.3 spg ... The Terriers also rank 92nd in turnover margin at +2.3.
  • Sophomore Max Mahoney has reached double figures in back-to-back games for the first time in his career with 15 points at New Hampshire and a team-high 12 points against the Hurricanes ... He is currently fourth on the team in scoring at 8.3 ppg.
  • Senior Cedric Hankerson has also reached double figures the last two contests and is the only Terrier averaging double figures at 11.9 with classmate Nick Havener close behind at 9.7 ppg.
  • Havener leads the team in rebounding at 5.6 with Mahoney at 4.5 rpg ... Both sophomore Tyler Scanlon (6.9 ppg, 4.0 rpg) and freshman Walter Whyte (7.0 ppg, 3.4 rpg) had a team-high six rebounds against the Hurricanes.
  • The Terriers are averaging 69.1 ppg and are shooting 42.2 percent while holding opponents to 70.4 ppg and 43.7 FG%.
SCOUTING BETHUNE-COOKMAN
  • The Wildcats are 4-4 with a perfect 3-0 record after going 10-22 and 7-6, respectively, last season.
  • BCU owns home wins over Grambling State (87-78), Johnson University-Florida (108-66) and Florida College (95-67) with a road victory at rival Jacksonville (77-66) ... They almost upset ACC member Georgia Tech on the road but came up just short, 65-62.
  • The Wildcats only have two recruited athletes from high school on the roster with 11 transferring from other schools, including Morehead State.
  • BCU ranks 66th nationally in scoring offense at 82.0 ppg with the fourth-fastest offense in terms of time of possession.
  • The Wildcats rank 35th nationally in blocks per game (5.3) and are holding opponents to 40.4 FG%, the 73rd best mark.
  • 6-foot-4 guard Brandon Tabb is averaging a team-high 19.1 ppg, while 6-foot-9 forward Shawntrez Davis is averaging a double-double (15.1 ppg, 10.0 rpg) ... 5-foot-9 guard Malik Maitland directs the offense at 10.5 ppg, 5.5 apg and 3.5 rpg with 6-foot-6 forward Isaiah Bailey close behind in assists at 3.5 apg with 11.8 ppg and 4.8 rpg.
SERIES HISTORY
  • The teams are meeting for the first time in program history.
  • BU last visited a MEAC school in 2014 and claimed a 71-63 victory at Norfolk State.
