CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Boston University women's cross country team placed a league-high 23 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league announced on Friday.
BU also set a program record for academic excellence in 2016, besting last year's total of 22. The Terriers have improved upon the number of harriers that have been named to the PL Academic Honor Roll in each of its four seasons in the conference.
To be eligible for the Fall Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 GPA in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports.
The Terriers combined for an impressive team GPA of 3.52 en route to being a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team. Sophomore
Courtney Breiner was named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team in December, her first year of eligibility for the award.
