BOSTON – After playing its first 22 games outside New England, the Boston University softball team is set to host Bryant on Thursday with the first pitch set for 4 p.m. 

• The Terriers are playing for the first time since returning from their spring break trip in which they played 13 games over nine days ... They claimed wins over defending Big West champion Cal State Fullerton, San Diego and Loyola Marymount.
• BU went 11-6 last season at home, including 2-1 against non-conference opponents.
• The Terriers are batting .256 as a team and holding opponents to .298 ... Seniors Moriah Connolly (.352 avg) and Gabi Martinez (.319 avg) are the two Terriers batting over .300.
• With 16 stolen bases on 18 attempts, Connolly ranks 22nd nationally in SBs per game (0.73) and 43rd in runs per game (1.00).
• Through 22 games, Martinez already owns four homers after reaching the mark each of the last two seasons while posting a team-high 15 RBIs ... Sophomore Alex Heinen (.299) leads BU with five homers and 14 RBIs ... Sophomore Alexa Ponce (.265 avg) is the third Terrier with double-digit RBIs at 11.
• Sophomore Emily Morrow (.230 avg) is the 14th toughest batter to strikeout in the country, while junior Jilee Schanda (.254) is 37th.
• BU leads the Patriot League defensively with a 0.962 fielding defense, 100th best mark in the NCAA.
• In the circle, both senior Makinna Akers (4-3, 3.07 ERA) and freshman Kali Magane (4-5, 3.38 ERA) are holding opponents to a .280 batting average. 

• The Bulldogs are led by fourth-year head coach Shayne Lotito ('09), who was a two-time All-America East First Team honoree with the Terriers ... She graduated from BU first in all-time steals (95) and fourth in career batting average (.334).
• Bryant shared two opponents with the Terriers ... The Bulldogs claimed a split with Quinnipiac with an 11-3 run-rule loss and 4-1 victory while also dropping an 8-5 decision to Loyola Marymount.
• Besides defeat the Bobcats, Bryant also owns wins against Iona (3-0), CSU Bakersfield (6-3) and Cleveland St. (2-1).
• The Bulldogs are batting .199 as a team ... Haylee Haas leads the way at .273 with 10 runs scored, two doubles and six RBIs.
• Kaleigh Goulart (.250 avg) owns two homers and six RBIs.
• Opponents are batting .345 against Bryant's pitching staff ... Colby Norris (0-8, 6.75 ERA) owns 20 strikeouts in 46.2 innings, while Gabrielle Ermish (3-5, 4.50) has 23 strikeouts in 51.1 innings.

• The Terriers are 7-3 all-time against Bryant and will be hosting the Bulldogs for the first time since 2013.
• Each of the last three meetings at the BU Softball Field have been decided by one run apiece.
• BU won the last matchup at Bryant in 2016 with a 9-1 five-inning victory ... Connolly went a perfect 4-of-4 with two runs scored, while Martinez contributed three RBIs.
