WEST POINT, N.Y. – Senior Christian Carson-Banister made 16 saves and junior Jack Wilson tallied five points on four goals and one assist, but the Boston University men's lacrosse team was edged by No. 6/8 Army West Point, 11-10, on Saturday afternoon at Michie Stadium.

TURNING POINT
- BU led, 10-9, with 5:00 left thanks to Wilson's fourth goal of the game, but the Black Knights tallied twice in a 50-second span to take the lead for good with 2:08 remaining in regulation.
- Army West Point won the ensuing faceoff and ran much of the clock down, but BU forced a shot clock violation with less than a minute to play.
- The Terriers got a good look on their final possession, but the Black Knights backed up a shot that went above the cage and hung on for the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wilson opened the scoring for BU before the Black Knights rattled off three straight goals to enter the second quarter with a 3-1 lead.
- BU regained a one-goal lead thanks to goals from Wilson, freshman John MacLean and senior Pat Myers.
- Army West Point tied the game, 4-4, before the Terriers worked some magic at the buzzer.
- Carson-Banister sent a pass the length of the field to sophomore James Burr, and Burr scored at the buzzer to give BU a 5-4 lead at halftime.
- The Black Knights scored the first two goals of the third quarter, but Wilson answered to tie the game, 6-6.
- After an Army goal, junior Hayden Ruiz got his first of the game to send the teams to the fourth quarter all even at 7-7.
- The Terriers took an 8-7 lead early in the fourth quarter thanks to some slick passing. Senior Allen Winkoff led Burr with a pass as he stepped onto the field, and Burr quickly found a cutting Dearth who buried it past AJ Barretto.
- Burr then made it 9-7 when Wilson's pass pulled Barretto from his cage and allowed for an easy finish for the sophomore.
- The Black Knights scored two straight goals of their own to tie the score, 9-9, with 5:42 remaining.
- Wilson converted a feed from sophomore Michael Laviano to give BU a 10-9 lead, but the Black Knights scored on a transition chance to even the score with less than three minutes to play and then took an 11-10 lead with 2:08 to play.
GAME NOTES
- Carson-Banister came one save short of his season high; he made 17 saves against Air Force on March 4.
- His assist was the second of his career and first since Feb. 28, 2015.
- Junior Joe Stucky went 13-of-24 at the faceoff X with five ground balls and was one of five Terriers with a caused turnover.
- Eight different players recorded a point, with Burr finishing with three points.
- Dearth was one of three players who collected three ground balls. Winkoff and senior Greg Wozniak also had three ground balls and each player added a caused turnover.
