Levy Leads Terriers to Second Place at PL Championship

RESULTS

BETHLEHEM, PA. – Led by another remarkable performance from senior Toria Levy, the Boston University women's track & field team claimed second place at the 2017 Patriot League Outdoor Track & Field Championship which concluded Saturday at Lehigh University. Levy won three gold medals and broke a PL record, as BU won a total of six gold medals and finished with 171.5 points, behind only PL Champion Bucknell (194.5 points).
 
Levy won gold in the 400m dash, breaking her own Patriot League record in the process, and also won the 100m hurdles and the 400m hurdles. After the meet, Levy was named 2017 Patriot League Female Track Athlete of the Meet.

TOP PERFORMANCES
• The 4x100m relay team of Ayodele Adesanya, Leah Fowlkes, Djenne Parris and Tehya Noell got things started for BU on Saturday, winning the Terriers' first gold of the day with a time of 46.10.
Toria Levy won the 100m hurdles to defend her PL title with a time of 13.92. In the same event, senior Ally Saccone finished third to win bronze with a time of 14.36.
• Levy also won gold in the 400m dash with a time of 54.31 to break her PL record she set in 2016 (54.41) and establish a new personal best time. BU swept the event with Leah Fowlkes winning silver (54.90) and Ayodele Adesanya taking bronze (55.74).
• Levy won her third gold medal of the meet in the 400m hurdles, finishing with a time of 59.55.
• Senior Adrienne Pascucci finished second in the two-day heptathlon to win silver with 4,484 points, behind only Lehigh's Sarah Cassidy with 5,029 points.
• On Friday, sophomore Lovie Burleson won gold in the long jump with a leap of 5.87 meters (19' 3.35").
• Sophomore Kennedy Jones won the triple jump with a 12.21m (40'0.75") jump. Burleson took home silver with a 12.13m (39' 9.75") leap.
