RESULTS

Kingston, RI - The Boston University women's track & field team competed at the URI Sorlein Invite on Saturday. The meet was a non-scoring invitational against teams from Rhode Island, Assumption, Brown, Coast Guard, Providence, Quinnipiac, Southern Connecticut and Stonehill.
 
The Terriers earned the top spot in three events on the day. Tehya Noell took home a pair of victories, winning the 60m hurdles and the long jump, while Leah Fowlkes finished first in the 500m run.

TOP FINISHES

• Tehya Noell finished first in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.65 while Gillian Morrison finished fourth (9.29).
• Ayodele Adesanya finished fifth in the 60m dash with a time of 7.88.
• Later in the meet, Adesanya finished fifth in the 200m dash with a time of 26.17.
• Leah Fowlkes won the 500m run with a time of 1:16.52 while Mikajah Hayes took third with a time of 1:18.00.
• In the field, Tehya Noell won the long jump with a 5.85m jump.
• Lovie Burleson finished second in the triple jump with a 11.79m effort while Kennedy Jones finished fifth (11.14m).
• Bridget Bishop took second in the shot put with an impressive throw of 12.50m, a personal best.
• In the last event of the day, the 4x400m relay team of Mikajah Hayes, Jordan Coverson, Cynthia Aroke and Emily Turner finished third with at time of 4:03.20.
