BOSTON – Currently in a seven-way tie for first in the Patriot League standings, the Boston University men's basketball team will host Lehigh on Monday night with tip-off slated for 7 p.m.

The contest marks the first meeting between the two schools since the Mountain Hawks escaped Case Gym with a 91-88 double-overtime win in the Patriot League semifinals last March. Lehigh returns just 16 points from the contest, while the Terriers return only 44 points.

  • Currently 17 points away from becoming the 17th Terrier to reach 1,200 points, senior Cedric Hankerson (14.7 ppg) is averaging 18.7 ppg over the last six contests.
  • Sophomore Tyler Scanlon (8.5 ppg, 4.8 rpg) leads BU in both assists (2.5 apg) and steals (1.6 spg) ... Last week, he posted his first two-career double-doubles with 10 rebounds at Bucknell (14 pts.) and Loyola Maryland (16 pts.).
  • Both sophomore Max Mahoney (11.8 ppg, 4.9 rpg) and senior Nick Havener (8.5 ppg, 4.9 rpg) own a double-double this season as well ... Havener has missed the last three games since suffering a leg injury at Harvard.
  • BU entered Patriot League play with the nation's worst free throw shooting percentage (.547) ... In three PL contests, the Terriers have shot 69.9 FT%.
  • The Terriers are 2-3 at home with victories over Army West Point (90-82) and Wheaton College (83-48) ... The victory over the Black Knights snapped a four-game home losing streak to Division I opponents started by the Lehigh loss last March.
  • THe Terriers are averaging 73.4 ppg and 45.9 FG% while holding opponents to 74.8 ppg and 45.8 FG%.
SCOUTING LEHIGH

  • Seeking its first road win since an 84-81 OT victory in 2014, Lehigh used a 31-point and 13-rebound performance from two-time PL Player of the Year Tim Kempton to edge the Terriers in double OT (91-88) after leading by as many as 16 with 10:41 left in regulation.
  • Two years ago at Case Gym, video coordinator John Papale ('16) hit a last-second shot to claim a 75-73 victory and the No. 1 spot in the SportsCenter Top 10 list.
