RESULTS
BOSTON – Several members of the men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Howlin' Husky Invite hosted by Northeastern at the Reggie Lewis Center on Saturday.
BU had several strong performances on the women's side including sophomore
Bridget Chiaravalle who finished first in the 200m dash with a personal best time of 25.26 and second in the 60m hurdles with a personal best time of 8.88. On the men's side, sophomore
Nikolas Smith won the 500m dash with a time of 1:05.16 and finished second in the 60m dash with a personal-best time of 6.91.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES - WOMEN
- Sophomore Bridget Chiaravalle competed in the 200m hurdles and finished first with a time of 25.26, a personal best while senior Ebony Brown finished second with a time of 25.62.
- Chiaravalle also finished second in the 60m hurdles with a personal best time of 8.88.
- Later in the meet, Ebony Brown finished fourth in the 60m dash with a time of 7.92.
- Freshman Anna Foreman competed in the 200m dash and finished sixth with a time of 26.17.
- Sophomore Cecelia Gerstenbacher competed in the 200m dash and finished fifth with a time of 25.95.
- In the field, Sarah Cicchetti competed in the weight throw and finished third with a throw of 16.79m (55'1").
- Sophomore Bridget Bishop competed in the shot put and finished second with a throw of 13.54m.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES - MEN
- Sophomore Nikolas Smith competed in the 60m dash and finished second with a time of 6.91, a personal best. Smith also competed in the 500m and finished first with a time of 1:05.16.
