RESULTS
MIAMI, Fla. - The Boston University men's and women's track & field teams opened their 2018 outdoor season by competing at the Hurricane Invitational hosted by the University of Miami.
On the men's side, the Terriers had several strong performers including senior Jordan Love who finished fifth and set a personal record in the 100m dash (10.65) and later helped the Terriers take second in the 4x100m relay.
For the women, sophomore Cynthis Aroke set a new personal best in the 400m dash, finishing with a time of 57.78 while junior
Jordan Coverson competed in the 100m dash and finished with a personal-best time of 12.11.

TOP WOMEN'S PERFORMANCES
- Cynthia Aroke set a new personal best in the 400m dash, finishing with a time of 57.78 and in 18th place in a field of 45.
- Leah Fowlkes competed in the 200m dash and finished with a personal-best time of 24.48 and in 11th place in a large field of 66. Jordan Coverson finished 18th with a time of 24.80, also a new personal best.
- Jordan Coverson competed in the 100m dash and finished 11th with an excellent time of 12.11, a new personal best.
- Tehya Noell competed in the 100m hurdles and finished eighth with a time of 14.24 just ahead of Ally Saccone who was ninth (14.36) in a field of 33.
- Noell also competed in the long jump and set a new outdoor personal best with a 5.76m leap (18'10.75").
- In the field, Lovie Burleson competed in the triple jump and finished fourth with a 12.00m (39'4.5") effort.
- Sarah Chow competed in the pole vault on Friday and finished fourth with a vault of 3.30m (10'10"). Zoe Beard finished ninth in the same event with a 3.15m (10'04") effort.
- Freshman Bridget Bishop competed in the discus and finished eighth with a throw of 38.37m (125'11"). Sarah Cicchetti finished 12th in the same event with a toss of 34.90m (114'06").
- Gilliam Morrison was ninth in the high jump with a 1.60m (5'03") effort while Ava Gruzen finished 10th (1.50m 4'11").
- In the final event of the day, the 4x400m relay team of Mikajah Hayes, Jordan Coverson, Leah Fowlkes and Cynthia Aroke finished sixth with a time of 3.47.54.
TOP MEN'S PERFORMANCES
- The 4x100m relay team of Jordan Love, Cameron Nurse, Nikolas Smith and Justin Flynn got things started off for BU on Saturday by finishing second with a time of 41.35, just behind winner George Mason (41.34) and ahead of second-place Miami (41.82).
- Jordan Love also had an excellent performance in the 100m dash, finishing with a personal-best time of 10.65, good for fifth place in a field of 40. Cameron Nurse finished eighth in the same event with a time of 10.68, also a personal best.
- Nurse also took sixth in the 200m dash with a time of 21.30 in a large field of 52.
- Haig Rickerby competed in the 400m dash and finished with a time of 49.87 and in 17th place in a field of 36.
- In the field, sophomore Clint Lockwood competed in the discus on Friday and took ninth with a throw of 43.49m (142'8"). Senior Jason Biesma also competed in the discus and finished 14th with a throw of 34.36m.
- Robert Saligman competed in the pole vault on Friday and finished sixth with a vault of 4.15m (13'7.25").
