The Boston University men's lacrosse team will host Colgate in a Patriot League contest on Saturday afternoon at Nickerson Field. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
March 10 is Mass Bay Youth Lacrosse League Day. Kids in 8th grade and below will receive free admission to Saturday's contest, and all kids are encouraged to wear their youth team jersey. In addition, the Mass Bay Youth Lacrosse League is providing free admission for the first 100 coaches who attend the pregame coach clinic. To register, visit GoTerriers.com/MBYLL.

LOOKING BACK AT LAST YEAR
- The Terriers at one point scored 14 straight goals and 12 different BU players found the back of the net in an 18-7 win at Colgate last year.
- BU fell behind, 1-0, but scored the next 14 goals and eventually held a 15-2 lead after three quarters.
- Ryan Hilburn led BU with a hat trick while Jack Wilson (2a),Hayden Ruiz (1g, 1a), John MacLean (2g) and James Burr (1g, 1a) all had two points.
- Wilson also had three ground balls.
- Joe Stucky went 7-of-20 at the faceoff X.
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
- Colgate got off to a 3-0 start, but the Raiders have dropped three straight games, including a 12-11 defeat to Hobart on Tuesday afternoon.
- The Raiders average 13.5 goals per game, which ranks first in the Patriot League and sixth nationally.
- Freshman Mike Hawkins leads Colgate in both goals (17) and points (22) while junior Sam Cleveland is first on the Raiders with 10 assists.
- Hawkins is third nationally among all rookies with 2.83 goals per game.
- Senior Collin Orr is facing off at 57.2%, going 83-of-145 at the X.
- Orr is tied with junior Will Blumenberg for the team lead in ground balls with 24.
- Freshmen Charlie Messineo and Nick Salameda each lead Colgate with six caused turnovers.
- Junior goalkeeper Connor Mullen started the Hobart game and made a career-high 12 saves.
- Mullen also started the first two games and leads Colgate with a .408 save percentage in four games.
- Junior Cyrus Scott has played in four games and leads Colgate with a 10.29 goals-against average.
MCSORLEY NAMED PL GOALIE OF THE WEEK
- Sophomore Joe McSorley was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week.
- On Feb. 27 at Bryant, he matched his career high with 13 saves and also recorded three ground balls in an 8-7 overtime victory. • He then stopped nine shots and allowed just seven goals in a 15-9 triumph at Air Force on Saturday.
- For the week, McSorley posted a .611 save percentage and a 7.30 goals-against average.
- This was the second time this season that McSorley earned Goalkeeper of the Week accolades from the Patriot League, as he also received the award on Feb. 5.
BURR'S BRILLIANT DAY IN COLORADO
- Junior James Burr recorded a career-best six points thanks to a career-high five goals and one assist at Air Force.
- Cal Dearth posted the last six-point game by a Terrier, doing so at UMass Lowell on Feb. 11, 2017.
- Burr had previously tallied four goals in a game on four separate occasions, including a Patriot League quarterfinal win last year in which he also set his previous career high for points in a game with five.
- He scored seven goals and added an assist in two games last week.
- Burr enters Saturday tied for the team lead in points (19) thanks to his team-best 15 goals as well as four assists.
WELCOME TO COLLEGE, Chris Gray
- Freshman Chris Gray has tallied a point in his first six collegiate contests after his two-point (1g, 1a) day at Air Force.
- Gray is first among all NCAA freshmen and tied for 14th overall in the nation with 11 assists this year.
- He has recorded at least four points in three of his six games.
- Twice he has tallied five points, doing so on Feb. 3 against Providence (2g, 3a) and on Feb. 20 against Dartmouth (3g, 2a).
- Gray leads the Terriers with 19 points (8g, 11a) and is sixth among all NCAA rookies in points.
- The top two rookie point getters in the Patriot League will play one another on Saturday, as Gray trails only Mike Hawkins of Colgate (22 points).
MCSORLEY MAKING STOPS
- Sophomore Joe McSorley leads the Patriot League in both save percentage (.569) and saves per game (11.67)
- He ranks 13th in the NCAA in save percentage and 10th in the country in saves per game.
- McSorley matched his career high with 13 saves Feb. 27 against Bryant and followed that up with nine stops at Air Force on March 3.
- He previously had 13 saves (as well as a career-high six ground balls) at Ohio State.
- McSorley has not allowed more than 10 goals in each of his last four starts, posting a 6.96 goals-against average and a .625 save percentage in that stretch.
- Overall, McSorley owns a 8.94 GAA and has recorded a team-high 18 ground balls.

- BU will begin a three-game stretch of road contests on Saturday, March 17, when the Terriers trek to Bucknell.
