Terriers Continue Outdoor Season at Multiple Meets

The Boston University men's and women's track & field teams continued their 2018 outdoor season by competing at four separate meets over the weekend. The teams competed at the Georgia Tech Invite, Princeton Larry Ellis Invite, Sean Collier MIT Invite and Northeastern's Jay Carisella Invite.

On the men's side, senior Cameron Nurse had another excellent meet competing at the Georgia Tech Invite, finishing with a new 400m dash personal best time of 47.95 which is the best time in the Patriot League this season.

For the women, Ally Saccone finished ninth in the 100m hurdles at Georgia Tech with a time of 13.85, just missing her personal best and PL leading time of 13.84 set earlier this outdoor season.

TOP PERFORMERS – MEN 
  • Cameron Nurse had another excellent meet, finished eighth in the 400m dash with a time of 47.95, a new personal best and fastest in the Patriot League this season.
  • Nikolas Smith also competed in the 400, finishing with a time of 48.28 and in ninth place.
  • The 4x100m relay team of Justin Flynn, Chiebuka Onwuzurike,  Jordan Love and Cameron Nurse finished 2nd with an excellent time of 40:55 in a field of seven.
  • Justin Flynn competed in the 100m dash and finshed 10th with an excellent time of 10.76. Cameron Nurse finished ninth with a time of 10.78.
  • Jamin Harris was 11th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 53.62, setting a new personal best.
  • The 4x400m relay team of Jamin Harris, Nikolas Smith, Cameron Nurse and Conrad Rousseau finished fifth with a time of 3:19.35.
  • In the field, David Oluwadara finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 15.66m (51-04.50).
TOP PERFORMERS – WOMEN 
  • Leah Fowlkes finished ninth in the 400m dash with a time of 54.81, best in the Patriot League this season. In the same event, Jordan Coverson finished 10th with a time of 55.50, a new personal best.
  • Ally Saccone finished ninth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.85, just missing her personal best and PL leading time of 13.84. Tehya Noell finished 10th in the same event with a time of 13.92, matching her personal best.
  • Earlier, Saccone finished 19th in the 100m dash with a time of 12.18, a new personal best.
  • Cynthia Aroke took sixth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.26.
  • The 4x400 meter realy team of Mikajah Hayes, Leah Fowlkes, Jordan Coverson and Emily Turner finished third with a time of 3:36.50, second best in the PL this year.   
  • In the field, Lovie Burleson took fourth in the long jump with a 5.61m (18-05.00) effort.
  • Kennedy Jones finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 11.98m (39-03.75).

TOP PERFORMERS – MEN 
  • Zachary Prescott finished third in the 10,000m run with a time of 31:33.67, second-best in the Patriot League this season
  • Paul Luevano competed in the mile run and finished with a new personal-best time of 4:02.29.
  • Johnathon Kemps took 18th in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:16.61.
 
TOP PERFORMERS – WOMEN 
  • Veronica Kriss finished second in the 10,000m run with a time of 37:25.99, a new personal best and fourth best in the PL while Alicia Huerta finished fourth in the 10,000m run with a time of 37:33.12, a new personal best.
  • Paige Ferrucci competed in the 1500m run and finished 27th with a time of 4:49.90.
