HOW THEY GOT HERE

The Terriers trailed No. 10 Bucknell, 11-6, with 6:04 to play in the third quarter of Tuesday night's quarterfinal contest.
That was the last time Bucknell scored, however, as the Terriers tallied the final six goals of the game to defeat the third-seeded Bison, 12-11.
Freshman Chris Gray tallied nine points (5g, 4a) and factored on four of the final five goals of the game, including a terrific feed to set up junior Brendan Homire's game-winner with 6:56 to play.
Homire (2g, 1a) notched two of the final three goals, with Gray netting the tying goal off a pass from junior James Burr (2g, 1a).
Senior Hayden Ruiz began the six-goal run with two assists and a marker with two seconds left in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 11-9.
Seniors Greg Farris and Jack Wilson both scored while freshman Sean Christman recorded an assist in addition to winning 12 faceoffs and securing five ground balls.
Sophomore Joe McSorley made 12 saves, including five in the second half.

TERRIERS IN THE TOURNAMENT

BU improved to 2-0 in the Patriot League quarterfinals with its win on Tuesday.
The Terriers earned their first-ever postseason berth last year and advanced to the semifinal round after a 10-4 win over Lehigh.
The Terriers were edged in their next game against Army West Point, 10-7.
Tuesday was the Terriers' first true road game in the Patriot League Tournament.

HISTORY MADE AT BUCKNELL

BU earned the program's first-ever win over a top-10 team on Tuesday night when the Terriers knocked off No. 10 Bucknell.
The highest ranked team that the Terriers had previously defeated was No. 13/14 Harvard in 2016, which was also a road win.
BU also became the second sixth seed in Patriot League history to advance to the league semifinals.

EARLIER THIS YEAR AT LOYOLA

The Greyhounds earned a 23-9 win in Baltimore on April 14.
BU trailed, 9-6, at halftime.
Senior Jack Wilson scored two goals and added three assists to lead the Terrier offense.
Freshman Chris Gray (2g, 1a) and junior James Burr (2g) also tallied twice.
Sophomore Joe McSorley made 10 saves.

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS

Loyola has won five straight games.
Two of the Greyhounds' three losses have come at home.
Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year Pat Spencer leads Loyola with 76 points thanks to 28 goals and 48 assists.
Fellow First Team All-Patriot League selection Jay Drapeau leads the Greyhounds with 33 goals out of the midfield.
Foster Huggins was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year after he led the NCAA with 44 caused turnovers and also gathered 36 ground balls.
Faceoff specialist Bailey Savio went 86-of-179 (.480) at the X this season and collected 42 ground balls.
Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year Jacob Stover boasts a .521 save percentage and an 8.40 goals-against average.

HISTORY WITH THE HOUNDS

The Terriers are 1-4 all-time against Loyola, with the lone win coming last year at Nickerson Field.
Three of the five games have been close, with Loyola escaping with a 12-11 home win in 2016 and an 8-6 road win in 2015.

MAN-UP MAGIC

The Terriers boast the third-ranked man-up offense in the country.
BU has converted on 61.5% of its EMOs this season, going 24-of-39.
The Terriers are second in the NCAA in total man-up goals.
BU went 2-for-2 at Bucknell on Tuesday and was 1-of-1 earlier this year at Loyola.

SAVING THE DAY

Sophomore Joe McSorley ranks first in the Patriot League in both save percentage (.523) and saves per game (11.53).
That average of 11.53 saves per game is 11th-best in the entire nation.
He has made at least 10 saves in all but two of his 15 starts this year, including his current streak of eight straight games with 10 or more stops.
McSorley has also allowed fewer than 10 goals eight different times.

WHERE DOES GRAY RANK?

Freshman Chris Gray leads all NCAA rookies in points (68) and assists (38).
He is sixth in the entire nation in total assists and eighth in the entire country in total points.
Gray is also fourth among all national freshmen with 30 goals.
He has recorded at least one point in all 15 games, including 14 multi-point efforts.
Gray has notched at least one goal in 10 straight tilts.
