PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Highlighted by a record-breaking performance in the 4x200m relay, the Boston University women's track and field team continued its outdoor season by competing at the prestigious Penn Relays which concluded on Saturday.
The 4x200 meter relay team of
Jordan Coverson,
Ebony Brown,
Leah Fowlkes and
Mikajah Hayes finished first in the Eastern Final on Saturday with a blistering time of 1:35.61, breaking the school record set by the Terriers at last year's Penn Relays (1:35.92).
In addition to the Penn Relays, several Terriers also competed at the Skyhawk Invite hosted by Stonehill College in Easton, Mass.

TOP PERFORMANCES - WOMEN
- On Friday, the women's 4x200m relay team of Jordan Coverson, Ebony Brown, Leah Fowlkes and Mikajah Hayes finished 16th in its heat race with a time of 1:39.46 and qualified for Eastern Final on Saturday. In the final on Saturday, the foursome finished first with a blistering time of 1:35.61, breaking the school record the Terriers set last year at the Penn Realys (1:35.92).
- Tehya Noell competed in the 100m hurdles and finished ninth in Friday's heat race with a time of 13.88 to advance to Saturday's finals. On Saturday, Noell finished ninth with a time of 13.89. Noell's time of 13.88 on Friday was a new personal best and the second-best 100m hurdles run in the PL this year.
- On Thursday, the 4x400m relay team of Leah Fowlkes, Mikajah Hayes, Jordan Coverson and Emily Turner finished 11th with a time of 3:45.17 to advance to the College Finals on Saturday. In the finals, they finished fifth with a time of 3:40.04, which is the best 4x400 run in the PL this season by more than three seconds.
- Cynthia Aroke finished 36th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.99 in a field of 48.
ABOUT THE PENN RELAYS
- The Penn Relays are the oldest and largest track and field competition in the United States, hosted annually since 1895 by the University of Pennsylvania at Franklin Field in Philadelphia. Attendance typically tops 100,000 over the final three days and topped 50,000 on Saturday.
In addition to the Penn Relays, several Terriers competed at the Skyhawk Track & Field Invitational hosted by Stonehill College over the weekend.

TOP PERFORMANCES - WOMEN
- Gillian Morrison had an excellent meet, finishing first in the high jump with a jump of 1.68m (5'6"), a new personal best and fastest in the Patriot League this season.
- Later in the meet, Morrison also won the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.64, a new personal best.
- Jamie Grossman finished 10th in the 1500m run with a time of 4:48.58.
- Erika Treske competed in the javelin throw and finished third with a throw of 29.80 meters (97'9")
- Sarah Chow finished fourth in the pole vault with a vault of 3.40m (11'1.75")
