NEWTON, Mass. - Seniors
Isaac Lipton and
Jack Wilson of the Boston University men's lacrosse team were selected to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) East-West Senior All-Star game, as announced on Thursday.
The game will take place on June 1 at Penmen Stadium in Hooksett, New Hampshire at Southern New Hampshire University. Opening faceoff will be at 6:30 p.m. and will feature the top graduating students from Divisions 1, 2, and 3.
Lipton had a career year in 2018 as part of the Terriers' close defense unit. The Cumberland, Maine, native started all 17 games for the Terriers and set new career highs in ground balls (52) and caused turnovers (20). Lipton led BU in caused turnovers and was second on the squad in ground balls, recording at least one in every contest this year. He finished the postseason with eight ground balls, including five against top-seeded Loyola Maryland, and one of his best games came when he posted a career-high five caused turnovers and added four ground balls against Navy on Feb. 24. Lipton graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences with a degree in international relations.
Wilson etched his name in the Terrier record book thanks to an impressive four-year career. He graduated as the all-time leader in goals (108) and points (170) and finished his career on 60-game point streak, having been held without a point just once while starting every game of his collegiate career at attack. This season, Wilson was a Second Team All-Patriot League selection, scoring a career-best 30 goals and adding 17 assists to match his career high with 47 points. A native of Manlius, New York, Wilson also earned Academic All-Patriot League honors for a third straight season and graduated from the Questrom School of Business with a degree in business administration and management.
