HISTORY AGAINST DUKE
- The Terriers have concluded all four of their varsity seasons against Duke and are still in search of their first victory against the Blue Devils.
- This will be the Terriers' second trip to Durham; they suffered a 13-7 loss at Duke in 2015.
- The two teams were tied at halftime, 5-5, in that 2015 tilt.
LAST TIME AGAINST DUKE
- Duke defeated BU, 18-8, last year in Bethpage, New York.
- Jack Wilson and Ryan Hilburn each tallied two goals for the Terriers.
SCOUTING THE BLUE DEVILS
- Duke suffered a 14-11 setback against Notre Dame in an ACC semifinal contest on April 27.
- The Blue Devils are 7-1 at home this season.
- Senior Justin Guterding leads the NCAA in goals (51) and points (87).
- He also tops the Blue Devils in assists (36).
- Brad Smith (25g, 26a) and Joe Robertson (35g, 9a) are second and third on the team with 51 and 44 points, respectively.
- Joe Stein leads the squad with a .564 faceoff percentage (92-of-163) while Brian Smyth has won 46.6 percent of the draws he's taken (89-of-191).
- Greg Pelton has gathered a team-high 48 ground balls while JT Giles-Harris has forced 20 turnovers.
- Danny Fowler owns an 8.35 goals-against average and a .536 save percentage.
CHRIS GRAY IS GOOD AT LACROSSE
• Freshman Chris Gray has been sensational in his first year with the Terriers.
• He leads all NCAA rookies in both points (71) and assists (40) while ranking fifth among national freshmen with 31 goals.
• Gray is tied for eighth overall in total points and ranks seventh in the entire country in total assists.
• The Patriot League Rookie of the Year has tallied a point in all 16 games, including 15 multi-point efforts.
• He was named to the PL All-Tournament Team after recording six goals and six assists for 12 points in two games, including a five-goal, four-assist effort in the Terriers' 12-11 quarterfinal win at No. 10 Bucknell.
• Gray has found the back of the net in 11 straight games and in 15 total tilts.
HISTORY MADE AT BUCKNELL
• BU earned the program's first-ever win over a top-10 team on April 24 when the Terriers knocked off No. 10 Bucknell, 12-11, in a Patriot League quarterfinal contest.
• The highest ranked team that the Terriers had previously defeated was No. 13/14 Harvard in 2016, which was also a road win.
• With a win on Sunday, BU will become the first unranked team to defeat Duke since Richmond bested the Blue Devils, 12-10, on Match 7, 2016.Â
• That Richmond win came at Duke.
CAREER DAY FOR CHRISTMAN
• Freshman Sean Christman was excellent at the faceoff X on April 27 at Loyola Maryland.
• Christman matched his career high with 18 faceoff wins, and his percentage of .720 (18-of-25) was the best of his collegiate career.
• He also picked up eight ground balls.
BURR KEEPS SCORING
- Junior James Burr leads the Terriers and is tied for eighth in the nation with 41 goals this season after his four-goal effort at Loyola in the PL semifinals.
- That total is third in the Patriot League.
- Burr is the first Terrier in program history to score 40 goals in a single season.
- He has tallied at least one goal in every game and at least two goals in 14 of the Terriers' 16 contests.
- His five goals and six points at Harvard on March 20 matched his career high in both categories, which he first set at Air Force on March 3 with five goals and one assist.
- Burr has added 11 assists for 52 points, which is good for second on the squad and is a new career high.
- He also became the fourth player in program history to reach the 100-point milestone (93g, 25a).
50 STRAIGHT AND COUNTING FOR JACK
- Senior Jack Wilson moved his point streak to 59 games with his three points at Loyola.
- Wilson has only been held without a point once in his entire career.Â
- In those 59Â games, Wilson has tallied 99Â goals and 60Â assists for 159 points.
- Wilson has tallied 28 goals and 16 assists for 44 points this year.
- He has notched five hat tricks this season and has found the back of the net in 13 of the last 15 contests.
MAN-UP MAGIC
- The Terriers boast the third-ranked man-up offense in the country.
- BU has converted on 58.5% of its EMOs this season, going 24-of-41.
- The Terriers are second in the NCAA in total man-up goals.
SAVING THE DAY
- Sophomore Joe McSorley ranks first in the Patriot League and ninth in the NCAA with an average of 11.63 saves per game.
- McSorley is also second in the conference with a save percentage of .521.
- He has made at least 10 saves in all but two of his 16 starts this year, including his current streak of nine straight games with 10 or more stops.
- McSorley has also allowed fewer than 10 goals eight different times.
- The Forest Hill, Maryland, native made 13 saves on April 27 at Loyola.
