EASTON, Pa. - The Boston University women's track & field team completed Day 1 of the Patriot League Championships at Lafayette on Friday. The day was highlighted by a gold-medal performance in the long jump by senior
Tehya Noell who finished first with a leap of 6.04m (19'9.75").

FRIDAY'S TOP FINISHES
•
Tehya Noell finished first in the long jump with a jump of 6.04m (19'9.75") to win gold. Noell just outdistanced Kaitlin Salisbury of Bucknell who finished second with a leap of 6.03m.
• Competing in the heptathlon, sophomore
Gillian Morrison finished first in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.64, matching her personal best, and finished second in the high jump (1.65m 5'5"). Morrison leads the heptathlon through four events with 2946 points with three events to go on Saturday. Â

Ally Saccone and
Tehya Noell both competed in the 100m hurdles prelims and qualified for Saturday's finals. Noell finished first with a time of 13.43, a new personal best, while Saccone finished second with a time of 13.85.

Ebony Brown finished second in the 100m dash semis with a time of 11.79, a new personal best, and advanced to Saturday's finals. Brown also qualified for the 200m dash finals, finishing with the third-best prelim time of 24.38.
• The 4x800m relay team of
Emily Turner,
Carissa Stots,
Stephanie Forbes and
Coco Ocker finished eighth with a time of 9:36.37.

• Through six events, the BU women are in sixth place with 16.5 points, behind leader Bucknell with 58 points, Lehigh (49), Holy Cross (41), Navy (27.5) and Army West Point (27).
