This five-game homestand is the team's longest since the 2008-09 season, when it played six straight games at home. Thanks to its five-game unbeaten streak, BU is at .500 for the first time all season. The Terriers are also .500 in several situational records - home (4-4-0), road (3-3-3), neutral (1-1-0), Friday (4-4-0) and Saturday (4-4-1).
The Terriers have won all three of their previous meetings against the Bobcats. In the first-ever meeting on Dec. 12, 2015, BU posted a 4-1 victory to upset the top-ranked and previously unbeaten Bobcats. On Oct. 22, 2016, Jake Oettinger stopped all 22 shots he faced and the Terriers scored once in each period to take a 3-0 win at Agganis. Last year in BU's road opener, Shane Bowers' overtime goal was the difference in a 3-2 Terrier victory.

After starting the season 14-2-0, the Bobcats are just 2-3-1 since and are coming off a 2-1 home loss to Harvard on Jan. 12. Quinnipiac, which is 8-2-0 in road games this season, is currently first in the ECAC standings with 15 points (7-4-1).
Sophomore forward Odeen Tufto has a team-best 29 points on 11 goals and 18 assists while senior defenseman Chase Priskie has 27 points on the strength of a team-high 13 goals. Former Terrier Brandon Fortunato has 20 points and is tied with Tufto for the team lead in assists (18).
Junior goaltender Andrew Shortridge leads the country in both goals-against average (0.98) and save percentage (.961) and has been sharing the net duties with sophomore Keith Petruzzelli (2.30, .909).
Quinnipiac is one of only two teams (UMass) to be ranked in the top five nationally in both scoring offense (3.68, 5th) and defense (1.82, 2nd).
BU went 2-0-1 last week, including four points in Hockey East play, to start the second half on the right foot. Following a 2-2 tie at Harvard, the Terriers earned a 5-2 home win over UNH before capping the week with an impressive 4-3 road win at No. 7/8 Providence.
Freshman Joel Farabee, the reigning Hockey East Rookie of the Week, is on a four-game point streak with six points (3g, 3a) and a plus-6 rating during the stretch. He is now tied for second on the team in scoring with 16 points on six goals and 10 assists. Junior Dante Fabbro continues to lead the Terriers with 17 points (4g, 13a) while fellow co-captain Bobo Carpenter has 16 on the strength of a team-best 10 goals. Carpenter enters the weekend with 99 career points.
Sophomore defenseman Kasper Kotkansalo totaled 18 blocked shots over the three games last week with at least five in each contest.
Over the past seven games, junior Jake Oettinger has posted a 1.96 goals-against average and a .941 save percentage. Last Saturday at Providence he became the 10th goaltender in program history to reach the 50-win mark. He is now tied with Jim Craig for ninth all-time at BU in career wins.
