BOSTON – Featuring three Terriers with 19 or more points, the Boston University men's basketball team used an early second-half surge to roll past New Hampshire, 84-70, on Saturday afternoon at The Roof.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Martinez opened the contest by hitting the first of his five bombs to give UNH its largest lead of the game that was quickly answered by Whyte's 3-pointer at 17:06.
- With an 11-9 advantage, Whyte found freshman Ethan Brittain-Watts for his first-career 3-pointer to spark a 9-3 spurt capped by McCoy's layup at 8:43.
- In a half featuring five ties and three lead changes, the Wildcats hit back-to-back treys to tie the game, 20-20, at 6:19 and grabbed their final lead on another at 1:52 (32-30).
- McCoy quickly tied the game for the final time on a layup, and Mahoney netted four points in the final minute to grab a 36-32 halftime lead.
- The Wildcats started the second half with a free throw, but sophomore Alex Vilarino assisted on Whyte's next two buckets to spark a 20-5 run that ended with junior Andrew Petcash finding Whyte for the slam dunk at 13:52 and 56-38 lead.
- Facing a 67-50 deficit with 9:30 minutes remaining, the Wildcats clawed their way back and pulled within eight at 5:41 (71-63) on Martinez's fifth 3-pointer and at 3:09 (76-68) on Sutherlin's layup.
- The Wildcats had a defensive stop on the next possession and the opportunity to move even closer, but Whyte forced a turnover, which led to Mahoney finding McCoy for the back-breaking 3-pointer at 2:23.
- McCoy scored three points over the next two offensive possessions to seal the victory.
