CANCUN, Mexico – After opening the Cancun Challenge with a pair of road games against Power 5 schools, the Boston University men's basketball team will now compete for the Mayan Division title starting Tuesday afternoon against Northern Colorado at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. Gardner-Webb (0-5) and Tennessee-Martin (2-3) will open the bracket competition at 12:30 p.m. with the Terriers (3-3) and Bears (2-3) to follow at 3 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • The Terriers were the only Mayan Division participant to earn a win against the Riviera Division (South Carolina), which includes West Virginia, Wichita State and Northern Iowa ... BU posted a 78-70 victory over the Gamecocks before falling to the Mountaineers this past Friday, 69-44.
  • BU is competing in regular season competition outside the U.S. since going 1-2 at the 2009 Puerto Rico Tip-Off with a win against Indiana ... The Terriers went 4-0 in August in Spain against four different clubs.
