Fresh off claiming its first Beanpot title in 38 years, The No. 7 Boston University women's ice hockey team will return to Hockey East play on Saturday when the Terriers begin a home-and-home series with New Hampshire at Agganis Arena. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m.
Saturday's game is part of
City of Boston Day at BU. Boston residents will receive complimentary admission to all six ticketed Terrier events on campus that day, thanks to BU's Office of Government & Community Affairs and the Department of Athletics.

CLOSING IN ON HOME ICE
- BU needs just two more points to clinch home-ice advantage for the Hockey East quarterfinals that begin on March 1.
- A BU win or Merrimack loss will ensure the Terriers finish no lower than fourth in the league standings.
- The Terriers can still finish as high as second in the league standings if they win their remaining four games, though BU will require Boston College to drop at least one point for that to happen.
HISTORY WITH THE WILDCATS
- The Terriers are 27-15-4 all-time against New Hampshire, including a 3-2 win at Walter Brown on Oct. 13.
- BU is 17-1-1 against the Wildcats since the start of the 2013-14 campaign.
- The Terriers have not lost a regular-season game to UNH at home since Feb. 3, 2011.

- Jesse Compher collected three points, including the game-winning shorthanded goal 55 seconds into the second stanza, in a 3-2 home victory over the Wildcats on Oct. 13.
- Sammy Davis scored the opening two goals for BU, with her second of the day at 18:30 of the first frame giving the Terriers a 2-1 lead.
- Kate Stuart made 18 saves in her collegiate debut.

WHAT'S UP WITH THE WILDCATS?
- New Hampshire was on a five-game win streak entering last weekend, but the Wildcats lost to Boston College, 7-1, on Feb. 8 and Merrimack, 2-1, on Feb.9.
- UNH is tied for sixth place, only three points clear of eighth-place Maine and four points back of fifth-place Merrimack.
- Junior Taylor Wenczkowski leads the Wildcats with 22 points and 16 goals while freshman Lauren Martin is the team's assist leader with 10 helpers.
- Ten different UNH skaters have recorded at least 10 points.
- Senior Kyra Smith, who did not start the Oct. 13 game against BU, is 12-9-2 in 23 starts with a 2.05 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage.
THE WAIT IS OVER
- For the first time since 1981, the Terriers won the Beanpot with a 3-2 overtime win at Harvard on Tuesday.
- Redshirt junior Sammy Davis sealed the win with a power-play goal 13:28 into overtime off a terrific pass from sophomore Jesse Compher.
- Davis was selected as the tournament's MVP after she finished the two games with four points (2g, 2a).
- All three captains scored, as senior Reagan Rust and junior Natasza Tarnowski also lit the lamp.
- Tarnowski also had an assist to join junior Abby Cook (2a) as Terriers with two points on Tuesday.
- Redshirt junior Abbey Stanley added an assist as well.
- Sophomore Corinne Schroeder made nine of her 30 saves in overtime.
ANOTHER TROPHY FOR THE TERRIERS
- Thanks to the victory on Tuesday, every Terrier that has played at BU since the 2009-10 season has won at least one major trophy.
- BU has won five Hockey East tournaments (2010, 2012-15) and two Hockey East regular-season crowns (2011 and 2013).
QUITE THE STREAK FOR BU
- The Terriers enter the weekend with the longest active unbeaten streak in the nation at 11 games.
- BU is 9-0-2 since Jan. 6.
INSIDE THE LAST NINE GAMES
- BU ranks first in Division I in goals (52), assists (93) and points (145) since its 11-game unbeaten streak began on Jan. 6.
- The Terriers have averaged 4.73 goals per game during that time, which also ranks first among Division I teams.
- Going back to Dec. 30, the Terriers have only allowed 1.71 goals per game.
